Most of the snowdrops on the banks of the Massney Braes are almost over, but there were a few patches still flowering yesterday.
There are now numerous clumps of daffodils brightening up the braes. It was a windy day and they were 'fluttering and dancing in the breeze.'
A few bright blue patches of chinodoxa caught my eye,

Do you have any idea where the name "Massney" comes from, what its relevance is to Lundin Links and how long the name has been in use?

Sorry, the origin of the name seems to have been lost in the mists of time. It's possible that it's derived from a surname e.g. Masseney or Le Masney. There is also an Emsdorf Street in the village which suggests a German connection, so wonder if Massney could also have a German derivation.
