Observations and photos from the sea-shore, countryside and villages around Largo Bay in the East Neuk of Fife, and from my small garden in Lundin Links. Occasional forays to other parts.

Dipper in Keil's Den
Spotted this dipper flitting about the rocks in the burn in Keil's Den. The white thoat and bobbing motion make it instantly recognisable.
Hello, this is my first visit to your blog, nice pic of the Dipper, I was lucky to observe a few at Bolton Abbey in Yorkshire a month ago. They're fantastic birds aren't they.
I noticed your recent trip to the Farnes, we also enjoyed a trip to the Farne Islands last summer, fantastic views of the seabirds but alas I'm not known for my sealegs and managed to hold back until just outside the harbour, much to the amusement of the outgoing trip! Linda
Thank you very much for your comments. I have visited your blog and really enjoyed it, patricularly the Bolton Abbey and Farne Islands post. I shall be visiting regularly.

Married. Semi-retired. I live in a village on the coast in the East Neuk of Fife. Interested in the flora and fauna of this lovely area, and recording my observations of wild-life at the shore, in the countryside, and in our garden. Also, a bit about the local area and some reviews of books, concerts, plays that I've enjoyed.
Although, I hope to take photos of what I see, I am not an expert photographer, however, I hope that the photos will be a good record of my observations of the natural world in a small part of Scotland.
