Aconite

The first appearance of aconite flowers just peeping out above ground. Snowdrops are beginning to push up through the soil, but not in flower yet.

Just loved your aconite photo, I have grown it several times, but always seem to lose it, as I call our garden here in New Zealand the "survival of the fittest". As you can tell it gets quite overgrown

Thanks Jean,
Glad you liked the photo.I haven't been blogging very long and haven't had many comments, so was absolutely thrilled to get your comment from New Zealand on the other side of the World

I have not set up a blog as yet but am keen on reading the garden ones, as am a very keen gardener myself, and fet a lot of joy from my cottage garden. Grow a lot of roses, clematis, rhodos, lillies, delphiniums, and have an area we refer to as "the forest" where I grow a lot of shade loving plants.
Am very keen oh alpines as well, and grow quite a few
